At Oriel y Parc we work with artists and organisations across Pembrokeshire on projects which encourage an appreciation of the visual arts and the landscape which surrounds us.
Mythical, Wild and Human

This year, Oriel y Parc has been the location for a series of workshops organised by the Arts Council of Wales and Cadw as part of their Cauldrons & Furnaces project.
Mythical, wild and human, is part of a four-year programme of celebratory arts projects centred on 8 historic sites across Wales – a collaborative project between the Arts Council of Wales and Cadw, funded by the legacy trust. The project is part of the Cultural Olympiad programme, and is one of many events taking place over the next three years across the UK in the run up to the London Olympics in 2012.

Working with artists from 'Spacetocreate' community arts, local school children and visitors to the centre have taken part in creative workshops inspired by the 150 carved stone corbels of mythical beasts, wild animals and human heads that adorn the Bishop’s Palace in St Davids.
